‘Recreation of Thrones’ returns with ‘Home of the Dragon’ teaser

Recreation of Thrones followers, our watch begins anew beginning this August, with the discharge of Home of the Dragon.

The prequel, set 200 years earlier than Recreation of Thrones, focuses on everybody’s favourite extraordinarily blonde, incest-y, dragon-riding household: the Targaryens. Tailored from George R.R. Martin’s Hearth and Blood, Home of the Dragon will concentrate on the reign of King Viserys (Paddy Considine), and the following Targaryen civil warfare, also called the Dance of the Dragons.

We are able to see hints of discord throughout the Targaryen household within the first teaser for the sequence, which reveals that Viserys selected his daughter Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy) as his inheritor. The thought of a girl ascending the Iron Throne — which seems to be superior and scary as hell within the trailer — doesn’t attraction to all of Westeros, so Rhaenyra and her allies must battle to make sure her declare. The teaser introduces different new characters, together with Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), Lord Corlys Velaryon (Steve Toussaint), and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke).

Which of those characters will show to be probably the most scheming? Will any of them survive? Just one factor is definite based mostly on the teaser and its fast dragon cameo: there shall be hearth and blood.

Home of the Dragon premieres Aug. 21 on HBO and HBO Max.
